Academic Center for Excellence
The Academic Center for Excellence is an academic support unit for all students. RIT offers many services in addition to tutoring. Test Review Sessions are scheduled throughout the semester for many courses such as Elementary or Intermediate Algebra, Calculus, Physics, Humanities, Chemistry, and Accounting.
Study groups can also meet at the RIT to prepare for exams or work on class projects. RIT provides access to computers for class and lab assignments. Instructional software for many courses is also available on RIT computers.
Our Program
We believe in imparting quality education. The institution enjoys the services of a team of highly dedicated teachers experienced in their respective fields.
Location
The RIT is located in Building L, directly behind the Student Services Building. We provide free study materials, separate labs, and internet services.
Tutorial Services
RIT averages a tutorial staff of 10-15 per semester. We offer assistance in Accounting, Economics, Physics, English, and most mathematics courses.
Tutor Credentials & Application
Requirements for Tutors:
- Student with GPA of 3.00 or better.
- Received a B or A in the course one wishes to tutor.
- Excellent recommendation from faculty or staff.
- No campus disciplinary record.
- Successful interview with the RIT Coordinator.
